The Task Interface
To create a new task, click the Dashboard button and then click, Add New Task. This will open a popover for task creation.
Your First Task
The sitelist has many supported Sites pre-included. If you wish to use a custom Shopify site and have a product URL, enter a product url in the url field and the site will automatically be filled in.
Pick an option from the Option menu or enter your own for non included options. Your entry is case insensitive, to allow safer matching of products. For matching any product, select "any" in the dropdown.
We have a relatively versatile matcher for clothing sizes that helps with product finding. Using a size in the dropdown such as Large will make Comet attempt to find a product of that size, whether the specific site uses L, LG, or Large as sizing. This system works with all listed clothes sizing. Shoe sizes are exact so there is no current conversion between US and EU sizing.
If you select Supreme as your site, new fields will show to select the product color and the product category.
This field supports standard Shopify product links as well as add to cart format links for product variant use. If you use an add to cart link, the bot will attempt to add to cart until successful. This is the fastest way to checkout as it skips loading the product page.
An add to cart url will be in the format of sitename/cart/variantid:quantity
If you are not using a product URL, you will be entering keywords in the Keyword field. This field is a text field with commas as separation. The minus operator in front of terms is supported and used in matching to avoid false positives. Keywords are case insensitive and are matched to the selected search selection using a fuzzy search. The exact algorithm is token set ratio providing the wanted word match percentage.
For the negative keywords, string contains is used. This means if a product name is "Yeezy 350 Kids Edition" and your keywords are "Yeezy,-kid" this match will fail.
For situations like Funko-Shop.com where you want to buy any product, the keyword * is a wildcard for any product. If a product is found, this will return a 100% match. This only works for a single '*'. No spaces or additional text to avoid incorrect products.
The login option allows for a site login. Toggle this on to enter a login.
The task profile is selected in the profile dropdown. Pick a profile and associate it with the task.
Amount is self explanatory as the number of tasks you wish to have created. Default is 1.
The number of items you wish to have ordered in a single checkout. This should function in Shopify, Demandware, Funimation, Big Cartel, Big Commerce, and Magento based tasks.
Schedule Start allows task scheduling. The default entry is the current time so it will not automatically start. Adjust the time to a future time if you wish to have a task automatically start.
Task Specific Proxy
When you have this disabled the task will use proxies from your proxy pool. Proxies are only used for a single task at one time. In other words if you start 2 tasks and have only 1 proxy in the pool, one task will wait until the other finishes. If you have a specific proxy you want to use for a task or wish to not use a proxy at all, either add the proxy to this field or enable the field and leave it blank.
Advanced lets you choose searching either title or tags or both. This may or may not result in incorrect matches but it is an option. Additionally it contains the option to limit by price. This is supported on all available sites.
Additionally for Shopify only to start, a discount code field and a shipping rate field are available. If you can find a shipping rate of a similar product the checkout will use the entered rate and skip grabbing rates which improves the speed.
